As you may or may not have noticed, on September 9th I had the amazing experience of shooting the Parks and Devastation Tour (A Day To Remember; Bring Me The Horizon; Motionless In White; Chiodos). Not only was I able to shoot the strongest and largest lineup of my life, but I was able to meet and pick the brains of my all time favorite photographers Adam Elmakias and Ashley Osborn. This was easily one of the best moments of my life and by far the highlight of my career.
These two are the reason I’m still shooting today, not to mention why I started in the first place. They are some of the biggest inspirations and I’m so honored to have been able to meet them and thank them in person. Both of them shared incredible words of guidance with me in their own original ways. I plan to work my very hardest in the coming months and hope to be in their shoes in a couple years. Being a full time tour photographer is an absolute dream of mine and I feel it getting closer each day.
Now is as good a time as ever to thank some more local photographers who have helped me along the way. Chris Coe helped me way back in the day with my first gear purchases and credential requests. Christian Napolitano was a huge help back in the Rocko’s days with an introduction to all things photo. Jackie Rozett is a much more recent friend who was a huge help with the Warped Tour chaos this year.
I can’t thank you all enough for helping me get to where I am today. This industry gets far too competitive sometimes. We need to be there to help eachother out. At the end of the day we’re all here for the same two loves: art & music.
Thank you again to everyone. I hope to see you all in the pit soon.
